ChromaBay Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026
ChromaBay is an app by ReVolt Labs for designing lighting
patterns and controlling addressable-LED devices. This policy explains what data the app
handles and why. We keep it minimal: we don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we
don't track you across other apps or websites.
Information we collect
- Account information. If you create an account, we collect your
email address and a password (stored securely by our authentication provider). This is
used only to create and sign you into your account.
- Your patterns. Patterns you create are stored on your device. If you
sign in, they sync to your private library on our servers so they're available across
your devices. Patterns you explicitly choose to publish to the community gallery become
public and are shown alongside a name/handle you provide.
- Diagnostics. We use a crash-reporting service to collect crash logs
and basic technical details (such as app version, device model, and OS version) so we can
find and fix problems. This is not used to identify you.
- Bluetooth. The app uses Bluetooth only to communicate locally with
your own LED controllers. We do not collect or transmit data from these connections.
How we use information
To provide and operate the app: sign-in, syncing your pattern library, powering the optional
community gallery, and diagnosing crashes. That's it. We do not sell or rent your personal
information, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and storage for your account,
synced library, and the gallery.
- Sentry — crash and error reporting.
Data retention and your choices
- You can delete individual patterns at any time, and sign out to stop syncing.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us (below);
we'll remove it within a reasonable period.
Children
ChromaBay is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the date at the top of
this page.
